Introduction

It all started in my first apartment in Florida. I am from a small town in New Hampshire. I moved to Orlando back in 1997. Moving down south to a real city was really exciting. No more winters, no more driving for 45 minutes to watch a movie or to go to a mall! This intro is not about me however. It's about my red couch.

Back in my first apartment, as mentioned; I had a neighbor who was moving and needed help. She was also selling some items. The only item I took interest in was a incredibly comfy red couch with two parts that connected together forming an "L" shape. She wanted $75 for it, and I agreed and gave her $40 right then. After helping her move she told me to forget about the additional $35- what a deal huh?

Instantly, the couch made my apartment much more live-able. It is a dark red, crimsony shade and has two sections. The primary section features three cushions, and the smaller one has two; giving the couch a grand total of 5 cushions, and capable of occupying an entire corner of any home or apartment. It can also transform an entire main section or corner of a room, making it very useful for many things. Watching TV, taking a nap, having guests over, even sleeping- it is the pefect soloution. Have I mentioned it is extremely comfortable? Simply stated, it is the softest couch I have even seen or felt!

Not everyone has taken to my favorite couch, and I have had roommates suggest I throw it away. "Never" was always my enraged reply! Over the last twelve years a lot has changed in my life. Jobs, roommates, life experiences, you name it. Once constant has remained- my simple, comfy red couch. It has survived three apartments, and is currently with me here in my condo. No matter what is going on in my life, no matter how stressful; I have always been able to escape from life's problems and get some rest and deep thinking done here on the safe sanctuary of my one and only red couch. Here, paired with my big screen HDTV and my laptop, it has become even more of my little piece of heaven on earth!

It's also the perfect name for my blog I have always wanted to create. A little place where I can share my thoughts, and musings about this crazy world we live in. Welcome to my blog , and thanks for reading! :)
